An unofficial history, Part 1.

In distant ages, and forgotten realms, a mighty civilization once flourished on the banks of a great river. The people of Nehekhara and their great kings are now a memory… but they are not dead. Not quite. Today, we dive into the lore of a fantasy civilization, inspired by ancient Egypt…

Hiya there, long time listener, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this podcast on Tomb Kings.

I’ve researched Tomb Kings considerably from the published GW lore for Tomb Kings mods I’ve made for the TW:WH2 game, and I thought you did a really good job, and the podcast was very enjoyable.

I really liked the added embellishments as well, Love Egyptian mythology & history, and thought where you mixed the Nehekharan with real world was great.

Thanks for listening 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Really enjoyed Tomb Kings. Thought it might be tedious but I was spell bound, excuse the the pun. All other shows I have listened too have been the same. Currently binge-listening to catch up. Television has nothing on podcasts

Thanks for listening! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊

Trying to catch-up on the podcast. If your interested in this kind of thing. Check out The Steven Erickson books The Malazan Book of the Fallen. He and a partner built up their world based on a tame they had been playing, very history heavy. One of their groups is a connected group of undead warriors known as the Imass.

A grand recommendation 🙂 I have tried Malazan on several occasions (Gardens of the Moon and the Crimson Guard). Both times I found myself drowning in unfamiliarity 😅

The secret to then is that they don’t spoon feed you. Don’t speed read. And take your time. I started 3 times myself. But they have their history really built
