New Kingdom vs the World
This week we have an interview with an excellent scholar, Dr. Uroš Matić. Dr. Matić is a member of the Austrian Archaeological Institute, and takes a fascinating view of ancient society, including violence, gender, and the state. He has published widely, including “Body and Frames of War” (2019) and “Violence and Gender in Ancient Egypt” (2021). This episode was recorded in 2021. I have been waiting a proper moment to release it, when I do a deep-dive on the Eighteenth Dynasty empire in Nubia. Alas, the episode keeps getting delayed. So, here is the interview, and I will have the narrative content in future.
