Wonderful episode, though I have a couple questions.
I know scans are used to check for chambers inside pyramids, have similar scans been attempted to try and locate Ahmose’s burial chamber? Is there a possibility assuming his chamber is out there that it is fairly uncompromised, and might be somewhat full like Tutankhamun’s?
What was it that motivated the turn away from pyramids, had the mud brick budget pyramids of the 12th dynasty got into a bad enough state by this period that the new pharoahs felt they wanted a burial that wouldn’t look ’embarrasing’ in 500 years?
Or was it just a change of fashions and religious priorities towards putting resources towards other things?
